Our philosophy is pretty simple: our goal is success, our passion is Angus Cattle and our strategy is to produce top quality functional purebred Angus cattle that are suited for the demands of the beef industry today.
KFC is home to over 220 registered Angus females. 60 % of the females are bred to top A.I. sires, and then turned out for clean up with KFC herdsires. The cows calve from January to March, the calves are all registered and performance calculated through the Canadian Angus Association.
KFC is also home to nearly 500 commercial cows, which of course are of British foundation and are serviced by KFC walking herdsires. The calves are enrolled in the Canadian Angus Association green tag program and all follow the Pfizer Gold herd health protocol.
The principals for our sire foundation are selection of: high maternal traits, longevity, milk production, accelerated growth from birth to weaning while maintaining fleshing ability, in rugged range conditions. |
